Thursday
2:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Friday

Summer spots are acquired on a first-come, first-served basis. I will be taking Summer Times on FRIDAY, APRIL 17th. Feel free to text, email, or call with your 1st and 2nd choices for times. Thanks for letting me teach your wonderful kiddos!

Spring Break
Hello All!
Thank you all for your hard work and support of our ensemble recital. I think it was a success! Spring break is upon us and I just wanted to make sure that it was clear that there will be no lessons this week. I hop you all have something fun planned.
I will be starting a new rewards program with my wonderful students. Listening to music is such a huge part of becoming and being a musician. I will now be offering a King Size candy bar or 2 liter soda to those who listen to their pieces 100 times. For my book 1 students, I would like them to listen to their whole book 100 times. Seems like a lot, but if they listen just 2 times a day, they will be done in less than 2 months!
Thanks for your support and don't forget to mark your calendars for our last group class of the semester.
Little Ones-Monday, May 4th 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Elementary- Monday, May 4th 4:30-6:00 p.m.
Junior High- Wednesday, May 6th 3:00-5:00 p.m.
High School-Tuesday, May 5th 3:00-5:00 p.m.

March Updates
Hello All!
Just a few updates for you today. Master Class is next week. Please refer to the previous post for dates and times. This will be a first performance for our recital pieces so please try to make it. I will put out a list next week of who will be attending each recital so take a look at your calendars and let me know of any conflicts. There is a $15 recital fee for this concert that can be included in March's tuition.
Speaking of tuition, I'd like to try something new. The business side of things is hard for me to keep track of because my artist soul hates spreadsheets :)So i have a new app that sends out invoices and if you would like to receive monthly invoices, just send me an email or text saying you would like them. I don't know about you, but I'm always grateful for reminders.
The week after group class, I would like to try something new. I will be clearing my schedule and assigning group rehearsal times. So this means there will be NO REGULAR LESSONS. For those performing with me or a parent, I would like to put you on Monday and a few on Tuesday. For those in ensembles involving other students, I would like to arrange a time so you have more than a 1/2 hour slot to rehearse. Here is what I need from you all. Please let me know of major conflicts during the 2nd week of March so I can arrange each group to have a time that works for all the members. If you are flexible, then you don't need to send anything and I will post all rehearsal times in an update this weekend. I know this might seem a little crazy but let's try and make it work.
Lastly, the final concert in Lindon Chamber Music Society's concert season is this Saturday and will feature youth artists from Lindon and the surrounding areas. Concert is free so bring a friend!

Winter/Spring Semester
Hello All!
I hope you had a wonderful Holiday Season! To welcome you back, I have a few dates for Master classes and Recitals. Our next recital will be our ensemble recital in which I assign my students to play in chamber groups. There are two dates for the recital. Each student will only play in one recital, though they must coordinate this with the people in their ensemble. Here are the dates.
Recital #1
Monday, March 16th at 6:00 p.m. at the Lindon Community Center
Recital #2
Monday, March 30th at 6:00 p.m. at the Lindon Community Center
Next are Master Classes. Thank you in advance for making these work. I know I throw a loop in everyone's schedule when I do this but I think it is an important experience the my students. Here are the dates.
Master Class #1
Little Ones-Monday, March 2nd 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Elementary- Monday, March 2nd 4:30-6:00 p.m.
Junior High- Wednesday, March 4th 3:00-5:00 p.m.
High School-Tuesday, March 3rd 3:00-5:00 p.m.
Master Class #2
Little Ones-Monday, May 4th 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Elementary- Monday, May 4th 4:30-6:00 p.m.
Junior High- Wednesday, May 6th 3:00-5:00 p.m.
High School-Tuesday, May 5th 3:00-5:00 p.m.
Next, I would like to let you know of an amazing opportunity you could have to attend the next Lindon Chamber Music Society's next concert. Dr. Robert Baldwin, who is my former mentor and orchestra conductor, from the University of Utah will be performing on a very unique string instrument called the Viola D'Amore. The concert is FREE and would not only be highly educational but will totally count for a concert report for school. I hope to see you there!

And finally, I just want to send out a reminder that my children's orchestra, TACO or The Awesome Children's Orchestra, will be starting this Friday. We are actually in need of a few more violins as the cellos are outnumbering us a bit. If your child is Elementary age and about halfway through book one or higher, this would be an excellent experience for them! If needed, tuition can be paid in installments. I'd love to have your kiddos there!

December 2014
Hello all,
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are ready for this wonderful time of year! I just wanted to shoot you a few reminders as this busy season starts. First off, we will have Master Classes this month. Here are the dates and times:
Little Ones (preschool-2nd grade)- Monday, December 15th 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Elementary- Monday, December 15th 4:45-6:00 p.m.
Junior High- Tuesday, December 16th 3:00- 5:00 p.m.
High School- Wednesday, December 17th 3:30-5:00 p.m.
Please note that the High School Master Class is on Wednesday this time and NOT Tuesday. There were several choir concerts so I thought it best to try earlier on a different day. I know this is a busy time of year but please try to make these times work. I think it is so beneficial for your kiddos to have these performance experiences. Master Class takes the place of our regularly scheduled lesson times.
Next, I will not be teaching from Dec. 22nd- Jan. 3rd. We will resume our lesson schedule on Jan. 5th.
Lastly, for all of you with Elementary aged children, I just wanted to let you know that my children's orchestra T.A.C.O. or The Awesome Children's Orchestra, will be starting back up again in January. Rehearsals are Fridays from 4:00-5:30 starting Jan. 9 and our final concert will be Mar. 20th at 7:00 p.m. If your child is playing well in book 1 or beyond we would love to have them. Orchestra helps not only with technical skills such as note reading and rhythm, but also with motivation. We work hard but really have a good time. Hope to see you there!
Happy Holidays and Best Wishes!

Concert
Hello all!
This is a plug for concert I am playing in next Saturday, the 15th at 7:00 p.m. It is an entire evening of music by Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla. The concert will be very lively and a lot of fun. The best part is that it is free and close. Hope to see you there!
