I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful! Just a little update for you as head into December. I am altering the time on two of our group classes. The new schedule will be as follows:
Little Ones (Pre K- 1st grade)

Junior High
December 20th, 3:00-5:00
My High Schoolers will be performing at the Bel Aire Assisted Living Center on December 22nd at 6:00 p.m. The Address is 436 E 700 N, Orem Ut 84097. Christmas is a wonderful time to provide service through music! Please mark your calendars!
I will not be teaching over Christmas Break (Dec. 23rd - January 2nd). Thank you for all your efforts in supporting your kiddos! I hope this season brings you joy and plenty of good music!

Fall Update
Hello All!
Happy Labor Day! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the transition into school and Fall! Coming to you with a few updates today for our Fall Semester. First on the list is the start of T.A.C.O (The Awesome Children's Orchestra) and L.Y.O. (Lindon Youth Orchestra). We started last week and it's not too late to join if you would still like to. Please visit www.lindonchambermusicsociety.org for more info and registration. Orchestra is a great place to motivate students, as well as practice note reading skills and ensemble playing. We also have at least one rehearsal where doughnuts are consumed. :) I would love to see any of you there and please feel free to ask any questions.

Summer Schedule etc.
Hello All!
I hope this finds you well. I wanted to update you all on the summer schedule that I have so far and also inform you of a few changes. First off, baby Genevieve arrived healthy and safe on May 5th. Thank you so much for your patience throughout that difficult pregnancy. Here is our little darlin.

Next change is that we not only brought home a newborn but we moved to Lindon. The new address is 614 N Locust Avenue Lindon, 84042.
The last change is my start date for summer lessons. I originally had planned on starting Summer Schedule on June 6th. I'm feeling like I need one more week, so we will not be starting lessons until the week of June 13th. This is the schedule I have so far.

Update
Hello All,
Just wanted to update you all on what is going on with studio news. First, i have an official induction date of May 5th. Unless this baby decides she needs to come earlier, I'm hoping to teach to the end of April. I haven't invoiced anyone yet because I'd like to leave it up to you how you would like payment to work. If you want me to invoice you for the rest of the month and then credit you in June for any missed lessons, I'm happy to do so. If you would like to just pay weekly, that is fine too. Let me know how you would like to proceed for the remainder of April.
I will be taking the entirety of May as my maternity leave and will return the week of June 6th. I would like to get my Summer Schedule set in the next few weeks so I will be taking requests for times. Here are the times I will be able to teach starting on June 6th.

In other news, I have been diagnosed with Cholestasis with this pregnancy. This means my liver is malfunctioning and can cause harm to the baby and set me into preterm labor. Please be patient with me as I try to navigate through this, and know you may get a call or text stating that I'm in labor and lessons will be postponed for awhile. I will try and put together some names of "substitute" teachers if you are worried about progress while I take some maternity leave. Thanks for your patience!

Spring Ensemble Recital Revision
Hello All!
We are into the wonderful spring days of March which means that we are just a few weeks away from our ensemble recital. I've had to change one of the dates for the recital due to a switch in schedule for the youth and children's orchestra that I conduct. So here are the official dates and times for the upcoming recital.
Recital #1
Monday, March 21st at 6:00 p.m.
Recital #2
Friday, March 25th at 6:00 p.m.
Both recitals will take place at the Lindon Community Center in the Arts Auditorium (the old chapel). The Address is 25 N Main Street in Lindon, 84042.
Please let me know if you can absolutely not make one of the dates. I will send a list of names for each recital by the end of the week.
Regular lessons will not be held the week of the recital, but we may have a group rehearsals if needed. Please arrive 10 min early so we can start on time. Sunday dress is expected except boys are not required to wear ties. It should be an enjoyable evening of ensemble music and I look forward to it! Please let me know of any questions you may have.
One last note. There will be NO lessons the first week of April due to Spring Break. Monday lessons will have one lesson taken off for tuition but all other days will have regular tuition since we have 5 lessons in March. I hope you all have fun plans! Thank you for letting me teach and your wonderful kiddos!

Apparently this pregnancy brain thing is real because for some crazy reason, I scheduled group classes on President's Day. We will NOT be having group class on President's Day and I have revised the schedule. I will also be combining my Junior High and High School Group Classes for the purpose of ensembles. Here is a revised schedule and I'm so sorry for the late notice.

Recitals, Group Classes, Competitions and a New Year!

Recital Dates
Our next recital is our ensemble recital. Over the next two weeks you will be placed in a group and will receive music. There will be two recital dates offered and you must make sure your partner, or partners can attend that date as well. The two recital dates offered will be:
Recital #1
March 21st at 6:30 p.m. at The Lindon Community Center (25 N Main St. Lindon, Ut)
Recital #2
March 24th at 6:30 p.m. at The Lindon Community Center (25 N Main St. Lindon, Ut)

In the past, i have held lessons during recital week but that will change this time. There will be NO LESSONS on the week of the recital. There will also be no recital fee and it will just be included as part of the monthly tuition. I hope that makes things simpler for everyone.

There will be two group classes held this semester.

Little Ones - February 15th from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Elementary Group- February 15th from 4:30- 6:00 p.m.
Junior High- February 17th from 3:00-5:00 p.m.

Little Ones - May 2nd from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

I know it can be tricky to get kids to group class since it is a change in the schedule, but I really appreciate it. Group Class #1 is especially important as it will be the first chance to perform with their ensemble for the recital.

Utah Valley String Festival
Utah Valley String Festival is an event taking place on March 4th and 5th at American Heritage School. I have registered and would love to see some of my students attend. As a student, you are required to perform two contrasting pieces appropriate for your ability level and will perform them for some judges. The student will receive feedback from the judges and have the possibility of moving on and performing at the honors recital. There is a $15 entrance fee for attending. If you are interested please let me know a.s.a.p. as registration is due at the beginning of February. The more chances we have to perform, the better we get at it! It's also nice for students to receive feedback from someone other than their teacher. The more information we get the better!

April 4th-8th- Spring Break
May 23rd-27th- Last Week of School
I will also be taking the month of June off because I will have a baby girl coming at the end of May! Tuition for May will be reduced accordingly.
